President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt E S Okraku has revealed the winner of the 2020/2021 Ghana Women’s Premier League will take home ¢50,000 prize money plus 40 gold medals.
The President made this known during his speech at the launch of the 2020/2021 Footballl season which kick of on November 14.
He added that, each of the 16 women league clubs will also receive Ghc 2,000 worth of grocery shopping vouchers from their proud partners Melcom.
“The Women’s Premier League is one I love most. First placed club will receive ₵50,000 worth of reward.
“The second placed team will receive Ghc 30,000 , the third team in each zones will receive Ghc 15,000 each.
“Each of the 16 women league clubs will also receive Ghc 2,000 worth of grocery shopping voucher from our proud sponsor Melcom.
He added: “Beyond these the winner of the women’s league will also receive 40 gold medals , the 2nd placed team will receive 40 silver medals and the 3rd placed team will receive 40 bronze medals .
“Again each of the women’s teams will receive Ghc 2,000 worth of grocery shopping vouchers from Melcom”
The Women’s Premier League has been scheduled to start in January 2021.
