Ghana Women’s Premier League Side Kumasi Sports Academy Ladies (KuSA) will resume training on Monday ahead of the start of the women’s league in January.
According to the fitness instructor of the club, Solomon Appiah, the team is set to resume training next Monday after the NWL season was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Football activities were brought back by the GFA last month following the lifting of ban from all contact sports by the president of the Republic H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo.
Since the lockdown began in late March, the Academy Ladies have been completing regular workouts from home with the advice from the coaching staff, either as individual or in larger groups via video conferencing.
Although this has been an effective way of maintaining fitness, it is nothing compare to the real thing and morale around training on the pitch.
Mr. Solomon Appiah who spoke to the club’s media outlet said the team will on Monday start with fitness and medical test at the Kumasi Academy School Park.
The National Women’s League kicks off in January next year hence the need to prepare.
