Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea have appointed Bawumya Francis Makiya as assistant coach.

Makiya has been contracted for three years and will assist head coach Michael Hesse Odamten.

Makiya, holds a CAF License B Coaching Certificate and also studied BSC in Sports Coaching from the University of Winneba.

Until his appointment, he was the Technical Director of Upper East Region based Second Division Side, Soe Soccer Masters and the Physical Education Tutor of the Yendi Senior High School.

He will assist Hesse Odamtem who was appointed as the head coach.
