Abalora joined Kotoko on a free in the just ended transfer window as a free agent following the expiry of his deal with Tanzanian club Azam FC.

The former WAFA goalie has revealed that before signing for Kotoko there were some other clubs interested in him. His decision to sign he explains was a result of the Porcupine Warriors presenting a more concrete offers as compared to other interested clubs.
He revealed this in an interview with the Asante Kotoko Express app.
RAZAK ABALORA ON ASANTE KOTOK MOVE;
“You know Kotoko is one of the biggest teams in Africa so when such a call comes, there is no thinking about it. You just need to accept the call and you go for it. I had a call from my agent and also had a call from some of the management of Kotoko. It took me long because that time I was also having some foreign moves, so of course it took some thinking and some stuff. The moves we were expecting outside were not concrete. Kotoko’s own was concrete so we had to accept that one that was on paper.
Abalora is expected to be Kotoko’s number one goalie as they compete in the 2020-21 season. Coach Maxwell Konadu’s side will compete in the Ghana Premier League, The FA Cup and the CAF Champions League.
