Out of contract Asante Kotoko midfielder Maxwell Baako has been asked to vacate his hotel as negotiations continue about him signing a new deal.
Officially, Baako’s deal run out at the end of October and is no longer a Kotoko player.
As negotiations proceed, Asante Kotoko who returned to Kumasi last weekend after a three week pre-season camping exercise has asked the player to leave the hotel room the team secured for him until further notice.
Per FMiG checks, Asante Kotoko’s offer to the player has been rejected by his agents although he has not formally introduced any representative to them.
The player per sources is asking to be one of the club’s best players and see Kotoko’s offer as inadequate.
Meanwhile talks proceed on how to resolve the situation but as it stands, Baako has been asked to vacate his hotel room or pay the bills himself.
Asante Kotoko players are currently housed at the Noda Hotel, at Ejisu, Kumasi.
