Ghana’s iconic footballer Asamoah Gyan has officially been confirmed a player of Legon Cities FC, following the closure of the local transfer window.
The Ghana Premier League big spenders successfully fended off competition from the likes of Asante Kotoko, Great Olympic and other clubs to do the deal which is reportedly worth over $1 million.

Gyan, 34 has joined on a deal that requires his on and off-the pitch impact.
He is Ghana’s all time top scorer and his presence in the team will enhance their profile and draw attention to their brand.
Gyan returns to the local league for the first time since he debuted for Liberty Professionals in 2003.
In his one and only season in Ghana’s top flight, the Baby Jet netted 10 goals and finished third on the top scorers list despite missing a chunk of matches due to trials abroad.
