The future of Cape Coast-based Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs has been left hanging on a thread after the Registrar’s General Office sent an order to the Ghana FA to expel them from the Ghana Premier League for next season.
As per a letter signed by Mrs Jemima Oware, the Registrar General, there is a court order for Ebusua Dwarfs to be liquidated.
This means the club cannot operate as per the order hence they cease to be a member of the Ghana Premier League.
In the letter sighted by FMiG, the Recent letter dated October 27 is a follow-up to an initial one written to the Ghana FA in January 2020.
The letter went further to caution the Ghana FA that it risks been cited for contempt at the law court for failing to adhere to the Court Order.

BACKGROUND STORY:
In July 2019, a Cape Coast High Court ordered the liquidation Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs over a 20-year debt to a lower division club in the Central Region.
The High Court approved a motion for Ebusua Dwarfs to be handed over to official liquidators to settle a long-standing debt to the lower division side Great Liverpool FC.
Great Liverpool FC dragged Dwarfs to court over their failure to pay them their owed transfer fee for player Patrick Villars.
Villars was transferred to Dwarfs from Great Liverpool FC in 1999 but an emerging dispute over the transfer with an involvement of a third-party club stalled payment.
The ownership of the player became a bone of contention for years leading to the decision of the plaintiff to head to court.
Great Liverpool FC coach and owner Philip Vincent Cann who owned the economic rights of the player, was side-stepped in the deal hence his decision to haul Dwarfs before the law court after no amicable settlement was reached over the years.
After hearing from the two parties, the court took the step to order the liquidator to wind up the Ebusua Dwarfs and settle the indebtedness to the lower division side after the premier league club indicated an unwillingness to settle the fee because they were broke as per reports.
Dwarfs are to pay an amount of GHS 19 million.
Intriguingly Phillip Vincent Cann passed on about three months ago and it remains to be seen what becomes of the matter.
