Deputy CAF General Secretary Anthony Baffoe has welcomed Ghanaian football icon Asamoah Gyan back to the local league following his deadline day big money move to Legon Cities.
Gyan, Ghana’s all-time top scorer joined the Royals in a deal reportedly worth over $1million. The 34 year old is expected to use his profile to enhance the club’s fortunes both on and off-the pitch.
The move also marks a return for Asamoah Gyan to the local scene since 2003, when he played just a season for Liberty before a stint abroad.
Following the announcement social media has been increasingly buzzing with reactions.
Gyan himself took to Twitter to announce the move which has been applauded by many.
