Ghana Goalkeeper Richard Ofori marked his first appearance in the much dreaded Sowetan Derby with a clean sheet for his side Orlando Pirates.
Ofori started for the Buccaneers as they faced bitter rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 Cup semi finals.
His side Orlando Pirates secured a 3-0 win with Zakhele Makasa, Thembinkosi Lorch and Maliele Pule getting the goals.
The 26 year old joined Pirates from Maritzburg after a successful 3 year spell.
His first clean sheet in what is South Africa’s biggest football game will boost his confidence in between the sticks for the Buccaneers.
Ofori is part of Coach Charles Akonnor’s squad for Ghana’s AFCON qualifying double header with Sudan.
