Inter Allies will be coming into the 2020/2021 season without two players who contributed to most of their goals in the truncated league.
Emmanuel Adebayor and Samuel Armah scored a combined goals of 16 before the league was truncated due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The duo have left he club to seek for greener pastures following a promising season.
Former skipper, Richmond Lamptey will have to step up for the Capeli Boys ahead of the new campaign.
Lamptey is heading to his third season at the club after joining them from West African Footballl Academy on 2017/2018.
Inter Allies is a club that do not depend on superstars apart from last season when Adebayor took the league by storm.
The player who can push the club to the top is Richmond Lamptey.
About Richmond Lamptey
The nimble footed midfielder started his career at Feynoored which was later renamed WAFA,
He featured for the club from the youth side till he was promoted to the senior team.
Lamptey was invited to the Ghana Black Stars B by coach Maxwell Konadu in 2017 for the 2018 CHAN double-header qualifier with the Local Stallions of Burkina Faso.
He joined Inter Allies in 2018 following the expiration of his contract with WAFA.
He was made the captain of the club in in 2019 after returning from loan from Lebanese side Salam Zgharta.
He has since played 20 games for Inter Allies out of 32 matches played.
What to expect
With the departure of Adebayor and Samuel Armah, Lamptey is expected to take the mantle for Inter Allies.
With his experience in the Ghana Premeir League, Lamptey is expected to shine for Allies and fill the void left by Armah.
