The goal poacher took the league by storm by winning top scorer award scoring nineteen goals in to the 2014 season.
After two seasons at Chelsea, Owusu signed for Egyptian side Aswan FC where he spent only 6 month before terminating his contract.
He joined Ashantigold and left after just one season following a feaud with then head coach C K Akonnor.
Owusu after a year without a club rejoined Berekum Chelsea at the beginning of 2019/2020 season.
He was part of the local Blacks Stars who participated in the qualifiers of the 2016 African Nations Championship.
What to expect
Despite the availability of Jordan Opoku, Richard Kissi Boateng, Ahmed Adams and Obed Owusu the experience of Kofi Owusu will be key for the blues upfront.
The 29- year of old with his pace and ability to hold up play makes him difficult to handle.
A lot will depend on him if Berekum Chelsea can defy all odds and win the 2020/2021 season.
