Ghana’s National U-20 Male side now know the identity of thei opponents for the upcoming WAFU ‘B’ U-20 Qualifying tournament will be staged between November 14-29, 2020 in Togo.
The tournament will be used as a qualifier for the next CAF African Youth Championship.
Ghana will be keen to secure a spot in a tough group following a virtual draw today in Abidjan.
The Black Satellites will face Nigeria & Cote D’Ivoire in Group B.
The WAFU ‘B’ U-20 Qualifying tournament will be staged between November 14-29, 2020.
Ghana have been camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence, Prampram for the past month to ready themselves for the test the tournament provides.
Ahead of the tournament, captain of the side, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh says he wants to lead the Black Satellites to success.
“As the captain of the side, I am eager to ensure that we achieve success in the tournament in Togo as well as all the other international assignments that we will be engaged in from next year”, Afriyie said.
“We have been in camp for over a month now preparing for the WAFU tornament, and, our technical team have been of greeat assistance to us, taking us through our paces.”
“With what I have observed so far, I can confidently conclude that all the boys in camp are focued on the task ahead and, I am confident that we will return to Ghana with the trophy at the end of it all”.
