Mohammed Kudus marked his return from with a telling performance as Ajax made light work of Heerenven in the Dutch Eredivisie.
The Ghanaian ball dazzler was missing in action for the Black Stars during the international break due to injury but recovered in time for his side home clash with Heerenven.
Kudus started brightly for Erik Ten Haag’s side as he produced the assist for Dusan Tadic’s opening goal of the game inside the first four minutes of kickoff.
He didn’t relent as he made it 3 nil for his side inside 35 minutes as he was set up by teenage midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.
Kudus who lasted the entire duration of the game completed his brace of assist when he cooked one for Brazilian forward Antony to make it a comprehensive 5-1 win for the home side.
Ajax will next battle Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday in their opening encounter and Kudus is set to hav his first taste of Europe’s elite club competition.
