Accra Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed has said the new signings within the club can lift the morale of the team as it heads into the 2020-21 Ghana football season.
The capital club will be looking to end the trophy drought that has engulfed the side since the season of 2008-09 when the new season kicks off on the weekend of November 13-15.
Hearts will open the campaign with an away encounter against Aduana Stars at Dormaa and, the captain believes the new recruits can help lift morale in the team next season.
“We’ve got a few new arrivals in and that can maybe boost the morale of the squad and bring something different to Hearts of Oak next season”, Fatawu told Hearts News.
“Fresh faces are sometimes a good thing, it can change completely the mood of a squad and, I am positive that our new arrivals will bring that good karma as we head into the new season”.
Hearts have been undergoing our preseason formalities as Coach Odoom and the technical team prepares the boys for the task of winning next season’s Ghana Premier League (GPL) title.
The club has signed former player Nuru Sulley, striker Abednego Tetteh, Isaac Mensah, Eric Dizan, Danjumah Kuti, Mamane Lawali and are on the lookout to bolster the squad with others ahead of the new season.
And the captain believes they can play a positive role in the quest to win silverware next season as they come in with their own individual aspirations.
“These players have come in with their own ambitions and coupled with that of the team, I believe we will all work hard towards achieving that dream of success at the end of the campaign”.
