Arsenal new signing Thomas Partey has been handed the No 18 shirt after completing a transfer deadline day move from Atlético Madrid.

The Gunners finally secured the services of their long-time target after triggering his €50 million release clause.

The Ghanaian international put pen to paper on a long-term deal that will see him remain at the Emirates stadium until June 2025.

He is expected to join up with his new team-mates next week after he returns from international duty with Ghana.

Partey’s arrival will be a major boost to Mikel Arteta, who has been desperate to add to his midfield options.
