GFA Executive Council members, Frederick Acheampong and Kingsley Osei Bonsu on Saturday, October 03, 2020, joined Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association Chairman, Ralph Gyambrah in a delegation to the One-week Observation of late Black Stars forward Kwasi Owusu.
Others included, Takyi Arhin, Major Kwame Baah of D.C United fame, Owura Domfe, founder of Sunyani based Young Apostles FC and other football administrators.
The late Kwasi Owusu, also known as ‘Power house’, was captain of the Black Stars squad that finished second at the 1970 Africa Cup of Nations in Sudan and until 2013 was Ghana’s all-time top scorer, with 39 goals, a record currently surpassed by Asamoah Gyan.
The former Bofoakwa Tano goal machine passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020. He was 72. The final funeral rites will take place in Sunyani on November 07, 2020.
