Former Ghana U20 star Patrick Asmah is on the verge of joining Ghana Premier league giant Asante Kotoko after completing a successful medical examination with the Reds.

The left back who was released by Italian giants Atalanta BC is has agreed personal terms with the Porcupine Warriors and is expected to sign a formal contract soon.

Communications Manager of Asante Kotoko, Moses Antwi Benefo confirmed that the  left back is joining the club following a request by the head coach Maxwell Konadu.

”Yes it’s true Coach Maxwell Konadu has mentioned Patrick Asmah is joining the team, ” Moses Antwi Benefo on Oyerepa 100.7FM Oyerepa FM.

Asmah 24, failed to break into the first team of Atalanta since joining them from Ghanaian second-tier club B.A United in 2016.

He was released by Atalanta BC after his loan spell at FK Senica, where he scored three times with five assists in 25 matches.
