Two Asante Kotoko players who are sulky dissatisfied with how the club has treated them, have formally reported their cases to the Professional Football Association of Ghana (PFAG), FootballMadeinGhana.com can report.
According to local radio station, Oyerepa FM, the duo of Douglas Owusu Ansah and Matthew Kelvin Andoh have lodged a complaint against the club after been unfairly treated.
The two complain that they have been unjustly released off their contracts without any proper pre-termination engagement.
Andoh and Owusu Ansah together with Richard Arthur, Evans Owusu, and Abass Mohammed were left out of the team’s Covid-19 testing exercise on Tuesday September 29, ahead of resumption of training activities for the upcoming season.
Per reports, Andoh is fuming after he was told his services was no longer needed by the club’s administrative manager Emmanuel Dasoberi without any official termination letter.
The player who had a two year deal running with the club then decided to report the matter to the PFAG.
In the case of Douglas Owusu Ansah, his furious dad made the complaint on his son’s behalf after he also was encountered a similar ordeal as Andoh.
The PFAG is a body representative of Ghanaian Professional Footballers and has received the endorsement of FIFPro (the world player representative body) and FIFA.
The Association is yet to engage Asante Kotoko on these two cases per FMIG sources.
