Ghana forward Emmanuel Gyasi continues to make history with Spezia as his assist secured the newly promoted side their first ever win in the Italian Serie A.
Spezia travelled to face a much experienced Udinese side in the Italian top flight league on Wednesday afternoon and as usual Gyasi helped prove the difference for the Serie A new boys.
After having a goal ruled out by the Video Assistant Referee in the early minutes, Gyasi dribbled past his marker and sent in a cross from the left that was headed in by Andrey Galabinov to give the away side a first half lead inside 29 minutes.
Back from recess, Spezia were reduced to ten men after defender Claudio Terzi was sent off for a second bookable offence. However the Serie A new boys held on and snatched another goal in the dying embers of the match.
Bulgarian, Gabinov scored to register his second goal in the 1st minute of added on time after all the 90 minutes had been exhausted.
Emmanuel Gyasi did not complete the game though as he was subbed off in the 67th minute. His contribution however played a key role i his side’s historic feat in their maiden Serie A appearance.
Eyes will be on the Ghanaian as he proves his worth in anticipation of a future national team call-up.
