Ghanaian striker John Antwi has received a deserving call-up into the Black Stars as part of the squad head coach C.K. Akonnor has named for the friendly encounter with Mali.
Antwi has been on red hot form for his club Pyramids FC after netting 3 goals in his last 2 games.
The former Dreams FC attacker made history months ago by becoming the first foreign based player to score 100+ goals in the Egyptian top flight.
Antwi returns to the Black Stars setup for the first time since 2017 although he is yet to play his first ever game.
He will compete for a spot in the starting eleven with other attackers like Jordan Ayew, new boy Eugene Ansah when the Black Stars face off against Mali on October 9 in Turkey.
