Ahead of the double-header friendlies with the Eagles of Mali and the Nzalang Nacional of Equatorial Guinea, Ghana coach C.K. Akonnor has handed Benson Anang his first Black Star call up.
Anang, a 20-year old defender, who plays for Slovakia side MSK Zilina will be joinin g the Ghana senior national team for the first time.
The sharp looking left back who also plays very well as a winger has been a subject of major headlines in Slovakia since joining in 2018.
Anang made his Fortuna Liga debut for Žilina against Nitra on 28 July 2018. Anang completed 90 minutes of the match, playing as a right back. Žilina won the game 2-1.
The Ghanaian who is virtually unknown to many joined the Slovakia giants from New Life Soccer Academy, a Second Division side in Ghana.
