The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has extended its condolences to the families of players who lost their lives in the accident involving Africa Vision Soccer Academy on Saturday.
Bus carrying players of African Vision Soccer Academy between 12 and 15 died in the Ashanti Region after lost control and the vehicle plunged into the Offinso river on Saturday evening
.Checks revealed that the bus carrying over 30 colts footballers had a flat tire and unfortunately had an accident while skewing into the Offin River.
Six died on the spot and two later died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Twenty-four (24) other kids are also receiving treatment at the St. Patrick Hospital in Offinso following the accident.
In a communique on its website issued after visiting the injured footballers at the hospital, SWAG has commiserated with the families of the victims.

The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) expresses huge shock and disbelief of the tragic accident and loss of lives of Africa Vision Soccer Academy team players at offinso.
SWAG comminserates with Africa Vision FC and wishes the injured, a speedy recovery.
Swag is in touch with the FA, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and other stakeholders and is asking journalists to be circumspect in their reportage especially display of pictures and videos of the accident and the victims.
A SWAG delegation has visited the victims at the hospital.
