Despite being the second tier league in the country, the Division One League has been given a massive shot in the arm following the appointment of the new leadership of the Black Stars.
Following the announcement by the Ghana FA on Sunday, Ghana coach CK Akonnor retaining Andre Ayew as the Black Star skipper and Thomas Partey as his first deputy, the flag of the DOL was given a massive rise.
Both Andre Ayew and Thomas Partey last played for Division One clubs in Ghana before zooming off to Europe to continue their career.
With the two being the skipper and first deputy, it’s only Richard Ofori whose appointment highlights the Ghana Premier League.
Ofori last played for Wa All Stars before joining the PSL outfit Maritzburg where he has risen to be the skipper of the side.
