AshantiGold SC have completed the signing of defender Empem Dacosta on a free transfer ahead of the upcoming season.

The club finalized the acquisition of the player after fruitful negotiation on Wednesday.

He joins the club after he was released by Asante Kotoko following an unimpressive spell at the club.

Da Costa comes in as replacement for Mubarik Yussif who refused to renew his contract with the club.

The 23-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors in July 2019 from Karela United FC.

He was part of the Karela United team that went to the final of Normalization Committee Special Competition that eventually lost to Asante Kotoko on penalties.
