Ghana Premier League side, AshantiGold SC has revealed their budget for their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
The Obuasi based side have been chosen to represent Ghana in the second rated CAF Inter Club competition, as a result of the season cut short due to the CoronaVirus.
Its a return to Africa for the Miners who featured last year but failed to make it to the Group Stages.
AshantiGold will be hoping to make amends this time around and to aid their cause, they have set aside $500,000 to finance their campaign.
This was disclosed by the Club’s CEO, Emmanuel Frimpong during an interview with GTV Sports+.
According to him, the club president, Dr Kwaku Frimpong is making available such an amount.
“The president of the club Dr. Kwaku Frimpong has set aside $500k for our participation in Africa and clearly we are good to go,” Emmanuel Frimpong said
“When the competition starts and we’ll need more money to push us to the point we want to get, Dr. Frimpong will surely add up,” he concluded.
