The Court of Arbitration of Sports (CAS) is expected to announce the ruling on the case between Wilfred Osei Palmer and Ghana Football Association (GFA) today.
The verdict was originally scheduled for July 17, 2020, but was postponed to August 4 and subsequently to September 1 by the sports adjudication body.
He was barred from contesting in the elections after being found culpable of having integrity issues by the GFA’s Normalisation Committee.
The Tema Youth bankroller is seeking to clear his name, and the declaration of last October’s elections as null and void, a decision that could throw the leadership of Ghana Football in jeopardy.
Kurt E.S Okraku will continue as GFA President should Palmer’s main request be turned down by CAS.
