Ghanaian defensive midfielder Maxwell Ankomah has completed a move to Cypriot Second Division side Akritas Chlorakas in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Ankomah, 26, joined Akritas Chlorakas on Friday following his superb performance at Digenis Akritas Morphou FC last season.

He signed a year deal with the club after completing his medical examination.

The former Narita Football Club star is expected to command a starting role in the upcoming season for his new side as they hope to secure top-flight promotion next season.
