Ghana’s Solomon Asante has once again been named the USL Championship Player Of the Week after his sterling output for Phoenix Rising FC over the week in the USL Championship.
Solomon Asante earned 60 percent of the votes for his outstanding performances for Phoenix Rising FC to beat off competition from Miami FC’s Romario Williams who earned 20 percent of the poll after scoring three goals in two games for his side as they took four points from two games, including their first win in the Championship on Sunday night against the Charlotte Independence.
Solomon Asante scored two goals and three assists in two games to move into the league-lead for assists this season and reach historic 40 goals and 30 assists in the regular season for his Championship career to become only the second player to do so in the USL Championship history
The USL Championship 2019 Most Valuable Player has so far this season scored five goals and eight assists for Phoenix Rising FC in nine USL Championship matches.
