Dreams FC have reached a shocking agreement to secure the transfer of striker Joseph Esso, Footballmadeinghana.com can exclusively report.
It is unclear when negotiations started with the former Hearts of Oak star man but a deal has been concluded as the club prepares to make an official announcement to this effect.
The Dawu-based club have succeeded in pulling off one of the biggest transfer coups in the Ghana Premier League history with the signing of Esso who is now a free agent.
Esso was all along believed to be heading to giants Asante Kotoko with some reports even suggesting an agreement had been reached for him to become the first signing under the Nana Yaw Amponsah leadership.
But Dreams have pulled the rug right off the feet of Kotoko by stealing the chase on the former Ebusua Dwarfs man.
The signing of Esso shows clearly the intentions of Dreams who appear primed to be very competitive in the coming season.
They have already secured the services of former Bofoakwa Tano leading marksman Ali Huzaif and Abel Manomey formerly of Great Olympics.
The club went about concluding its business with Esso and his representatives quietly and smartly behind the scenes escaping the constant gaze and scrutiny of the Ghanaian media.
This move is undoubtedly the biggest so far following the official opening of the registration and transfer window in Ghana.
The club earlier this year begun an internal management restructuring exercise following the departure of its Executive Chairman Kurt E.S Okraku who was elected to become President of the Ghana FA last October.
Details of their move for Joseph Esso are expected to be announced by the club soon.
