Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Gyasi has revealed he is set to dialogue with the directors of newly promoted Italian Serie A side Spezia about his future, as clubs circle for his signature.
The 26 year old proved an instrumental figure as Spezia secured a first ever qualification to the Italian top flight with 16 goal involvements in 39 appearances. Gyasi scored 10 and registerd 6 assists pushing a less fancied side to the Serie B playoffs.
His role was again integral as they secured qualification to the top flight.
Speaking to local station Asempa FM, an elated Gyasi shared this about the feat he has helped his side achieve. “I’m glad I was able to play a key role in Spezia’s qualification into Serie A after just two years at the club…this is historic, because Spezia have not played in the Serie A before,” he acknowledged.
Gyasi’s fine form has not gone unnoticed with some clubs expressing interest. The player however says he remains happy at Spezia and will have to engage the team’s directors about a decision about his future.
“I’m very happy at Spezia because they take very good care of the players and I feel very comfortable,” he stated. “I have received a lot of offers, however, I want to sit with the technical directors of Spezia and listen to what they have for me before I decide the way forward,” he concluded.
