English football outfit, Nottingham Forest have posted a tributory remark to former striker Manuel ‘Junior’ Agogo who kicked the bucket exactly a year ago, today.
Agogo was announced dead on Thursday August 22, 2019 at the age of 40. The ex-Black Stars striker had barely receovered from stroke; a situation that had plagued him for close to 3 years.
His death was received with much sadness by the footballing world as former colleagues, fans and followers poured out tributes on social media.
With today being exactly a year since his death, his former club Nottingham Forest whom he represented between 2006-2008 and made over 60 appearances decided to remember him for his services.
Via their Twitter page, the club tweeted “Always in our hearts. Remembering Junior one year on.”

Junior Agogo became a household name while featuring for Ghana’s Black Stars from 2006-2009.
He scored 12 goals in 27 appearances and was one of the Black Stars’ key performers during the AFCON 2008 tournament.
