New Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah has in an effusive and enthusiastic manner ranked the club as bigger than Ghana’s two top political parties, the NPP and the NDC.

Speaking during his unveiling, Nana Yaw Amponsah rated Kotoko as Ghana’s biggest club and third on the continent but lamented its present state insisting that a lot needs to change to turn around its fortunes.

The former Ghana Presidential aspirant replaced George Amoako and is the first major appointment since the new Kotoko board were sworn in.

He is expected to be the main man on the ground pushing through the club’s policies as identified by the owner and life patron Otumfour Osei Tutu II.

Nana Yaw Amponsah in his delivery said the club had the potential to become a reference point for many top football sides on the continent; more reason there needs to be a concerted effort to upgrade structures and uplift standards.

With a reported fanbase of over 5 million- albeit unverified- they basically have more following than any of the political parties in the country.

While ending, Nana Yaw Amponsah called on the club’s fans to unrelentingly support him in his scope of work to ensure success.
