New Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah has likened the magnificence of the club to a religion insisting that it has a great potential to become Africa’s lighthouse in relation to club football.
The former Ghana FA presidential hopeful was unveiled to the media and supporters on Friday, August 7 in Kumasi.
There was a rapturous welcome on his arrival in the Ashanti Regional capital and his coming on board has been received with warm welcome messages alongside a plethora of well wishes from stakeholders.
The young but shrewd football administrator is expected to bring on board his expertise which will play a major role in steering Asante Kotoko, once a dominant force in African club football back to where they belong.
Speking in his first radio interview, Nana Yaw Amponsah has told Opemsuo FM, how privileged he is to be Kotoko’s CEO.
He went further to discuss the magnificent nature of the club and why he needs the unflinching support of supporters to realise set objectives.
“Kotoko is a way of life, a religion,” he told Opemsuo FM.
“I expect fans to give me the full support. Kotoko supporters are customers and owners of the club,” he concluded.
From his earlier pronouncements, it is expected that Kotoko’s CEO will work closely with the club’s millions of supporters to be able to achieve set targets.
