Black Stars Coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor has been urged to make attacker Jordan Ayew a deputy captain of the Senior National Football Team.
The Crystal Palace forward capped off an impressive 2019-20 campaign by winning three top awards at the club’s end of season awards.
Jordan was named the Player of the season, the Players’ Player of the Season and also earned the goal of the season award for his beautiful solo effort against West Ham in the league.
He has grown into prominence at both club and national level with his dominant performance at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament and his season at Crystal Palace, being perfect examples.
According to his elder brother Rahim Ayew, Jordan has matured and his innate leadership qualities has now been brought to light.
Rahim strongly believes this and others attributes makes a strong case for his younger brother to be named a deputy captain at the senior national team level.
