Enterprising AshantiGold SC midfielder, Appiah McCarthy has revealed he is inching closer to agreeing to a renewal with the Ghana Premier League outfit.
The player’s initial 3 year contract has all but expired and talks have been ongoing to get him to extend his stint with the Obuasi based club.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based FOX FM, the player has confirmed the contract extension talks.
McCarthy has confirmed that talks are far advanced and his about 90% close to agreeing a renewal.
“There are negotiations ongoing between Ashgold and my entourage on a possible renewal of my contract, we are about 90% done”.
Appiah McCarthy has been a standout performer for the Miners in the last 2 years and is definitely not short of suitors.
There have been concrete efforts from the likes of Asante Kotoko to recruit his services.
