Former Asante Kotoko striker Nana Arhin Duah has opened up on what led to him exiting the Porcupine Warriors.
Arhin Duah had enjoyed a successful spell in the red jersey ever since his move to the Kumasi based side from Obuasi Goldfields in January 2000.
Arhin Duah’s knack for scoring crucial and timely goals, saw fans nickname him ‘Nana a ɔboa nipa’, literally meaning ‘the Nana who helps humans’. His efforts also caught the attention of national team handlers who offered him stints with Ghana’s Black Stars.
After what initially looked like he will hang his boots at Kotoko, a change in management saw his future at the club looking bleak.
In a recent interview with Revolt GH TV, Arhin Duah currently based in the USA says he was hinted sometime in 2009 by a colleague at another club that, the Sylvester Asare Owusu led management were considering transfer-listing him in the next transfer window.
According to Arhin Duah this mainly influenced his decision to push for a transfer back to hif former club, Obuasi Goldfields (then known as AshantiGold SC).
