United Arab Emirates side Al Ain have taken to social media to remember Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan for the “unforgettable moments” he had at the club.
Gyan spent four years at the club and wrote his name in the club forklore due his outstanding performance for the club.
He joined the club on an initial loan deal from Sunderland before making the deal permanent in the following season.
Gyan became a club icon and fans favourite scoring 128 goals in 123 matches and helped the club to clinch three league titles and one President’s Cup crown.
He won the UAE top flight’s Golden Boot three times and was top scorer in the 2014 Asian Champions league.
Five years after leaving the club, the UAE club took their social media handle to celebrate his time at the club.
