Belgium giants Anderlecht have started contract extension talks with Ghanaian winger Jeremy Doku.
The Belgium born Ghanaian’s contract with the Purple and Whites expires in 2022, but the club want to hand the teenager a new deal long term contract following interest from top clubs.
But According to the CEO of the club Karel Van Eetvelt the club have opened talks with Doku hoping to renew his deal.
“For example, we are talking to Yari Verschaeren, Antoine Colassin and Jérémy Doku to break open their contract (which runs until 2022, ed.),”
“But we are certainly not in a hurry, those boys are still in prison for a long time.”
Doku has been linked with moves to England and Germany, with clubs such as Liverpool, Newcastle and RB Liepzig.
Despite featuring for the Belgium U15, U16, U17, Doku is still eligible to represent Ghana at the senior level.
