The President of Thunder FC Alhaji Abdulai Anass, has accused Asante Kotoko of turning Imoro Ibrahim into a beggar after failing to pay his signing on fee, as well as unpaid wages and winning bonuses for some months.
The former Karela United defender joined the Porcupine Warriors from the lower division side at the beginning of the 2019/2020 season on a 4-year-deal on the recommendation of Maxwell Konadu.
According to Thunder FC President Alhaji Abdulai Anass, the GHS80,000 signing on fee is yet to be paid after six months, together with unpaid wages forcing the left-back to become a beggar in Kumasi.
“Many clubs wanted to sign Ibrahim Imoro but I decided to give him to Kotoko because it is the club I support.
“I was promised I will be paid the GHC80,000 before the season starts but not a penny has been paid to me till now.
“My player Imoro Ibrahim calls me every day for money to buy food because his salaries and bonuses have not been paid”, the Thunder FC president told Kumasi FM today.
He added, “He has to resort to Habib Mohammed for food because of his affiliation with him. There are more revelations to the issue I wouldn’t want to address on live radio,” he added.
Moro Ibrahim is a member of Ghana’s local based Black Stars and was on the wish list of Hearts and Aduana Stars before joining Kotoko.
