The erstwhile Chairman of the Western Regional Football Association, Kojo Yankah has slammed the current Simon Ehomah-led administration for being abject failures so far.
Mr. Yankah vacated the RFA seat following the expiry of his tenure and Simon Ehomah was duly elected chairman of the region’s football governing body in a hotly contested election.
Upon assumption of the seat last year, the WRFA has become less vibrant as per the claims of the former Chairman who also served as an executive committee member of the GFA under the Kwesi Nyantakyi administration.
In an interview on the Skyy Sports Show ,Kojo Yankah queried why Simon Ehomah has been unable to elect a vice-chairman as well as the various committees to help run affairs properly at the WRFA.
According to him this smacks of incompetence.
“All of us are witness to the fact that he’s not done whatever he’s supposed to do. Even common vice-chairman of the association, he is yet to appoint someone,” Kojo Yankah told Skyy Power FM.
“Some (RFA’s) have already appointed committees to help manage the affairs of their regions; we haven’t even named a vice-chairman not to even think of committees. You should all be judges, nothing is happening in the region,” he decried.
Mr. Kojo Yankah has also made a shocking claim that all attempts to reach out to the current WRFA Chairman, Simon Ehomah and relay to him his concerns have proved futile because the latter has not been answering his calls.
“Simon (Ehomah) is a brother to me, but if he is doing something which is wrong, I will tell it to him. I tried calling him on phone to tell him my concerns, but he is not picking my calls. So I have decided I won’t call him again,” he concluded.
