Member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s newly constituted board Evelyn Nsiah Asare Owusu is on a personal mission, seeking revenge against the club’s bitterest rivals, Hearts of Oak.
Nsiah Asare, the only female on the board is keen for the Porcupine Warriors to achieve the various set objectives as outlined by the Manhyia Palace during their unveiling last week.
According to the Chief of Staff of the Manhyia Palace, Kofi Badu, the owner of the club Otumfour Osei Tutu II wants the club to embark on a quest to rise to the top once again.
This agenda to become prominent again hinges on development.
Without questioning her commitment towards this cause, Evelyn Nsiah Asare is also fuelled by a personal ambition; which is to avenge a painful defeat Kotoko suffered at the hands of Hearts on the 15th March 2000.
A brace from Ishmael Addo and a goal each by Kenneth Sarpong and Emmanuel Osei Kuffour handed Hearts an emphatic 4-0 victory over the Porcupine Warriors.
According to the Kotoko board member, getting revenge is top of her agenda list and she is fervently hoping that it comes to past during her time with the club.
She posted on her twitter page, As an ardent supporter of this great Club, this has been one of my greatest worries not because it’s to our bitter rivals, but because we’ve not been able to avenge it.
But this time around, I’m very confident in my boys to do the needful. Faaaaaaaaabulous ♥️
