Techiman City FC head coach Stephen Abugri has disclosed that he is broke following the suspension of football season due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
Football activities have been on a halt since March to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.
Having stayed at home for 3 months with no football action, Coach Stephen Abugri couldn’t hide what he is going through for the past three months.
“The effect of the COVID-19 is very negative on everything especially on me. In fact, I am very hot and broke because in Ghana here, “No Coaching No Salary”.
“I know all the other coaches are hot but I am very broke,” the Techiman City FC coach said in an interview with Nkunim FM.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is still in talks with the government to seek permission for football to make a return.
They have set June 30 to decide the fate of the season.
