HB Koge Director Per Rud has commended on loan Inter Allies forward for a good start to life in the Danish league and culture.
The young forward joined the Division one side on loan at the beginning of March alongside club mates Kwabena Kyeremateng and Abdul Nasiru Hamza.
The trio had to endure a long delay to team up with their new side for the winter training camp due to delays in their paperwork.
Their debut for the club was further delayed due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
After enduring a horrid start to life in a different culture setting and footballing environment, Effiong Nsungusi made huge impressions on officials at his new side, first with his relation with new club mates and after making two impressive appearances since the league’s resumption.
Effiong came in as a substitute on his debut and assisted a goal. He subsequently played the entire duration against 2nd placed Fredericia in a 2-2 draw on Wednesday.
Director of HB Hoge, Per Rud expressed admiration for how the forward has integrated into the squad and his impressive outings so far.
“Effiong has some clear cutting edge skills that shone through when we saw him at Inter Allies. It is clear that he has had to spend some time getting used to Denmark and Køge – especially after a long course of getting him here.
But the level he has shown over the last few matches has greatly exceeded our expectations.
At the same time he has fallen well to the Games House in Herfolge, where teammates have also welcomed him.
“Now we are just looking forward to seeing more from him, ”says Per Rud.
Per Rud credited Inter Allies for doing a lot of work to develop the player and welcomed the cooperation agreement between the two clubs.
