Ghana star Baba Rahman is set to return to English giants Chelsea after his loan spell with La Liga side Real Mallorca.
Rahman joined Real Mallorca on a season long loan deal last summer and was key to the side until he picked an injury.
The Ghana star joined Chelsea in 2015 for an initial period of 6 years before extending it by a year.
Rahman has had a torrid time with the English giants and has been seen going on loan to several clubs including Schalke 04 and Stade Reims.
Reports in the Ghanaian media were that Baba Rahman’s contract with Chelsea had ended and with his loan period at Mallorca expiring, the Ghanaian will be without a club.
But in an exclusive interview with footballmadeinghana.com, Baba Rahman brushed aside the reports revealing he’s still a player of Chelsea.
“First of all, I signed 6 years when I joined Chelsea in 2015,” Baba revealed.
“This is the 5th year of the contract and I still have a year left. Apart from the initial contract, I added one year more before joining Mallorca.
“So I still have two more years with Chelsea,” he added.
Baba is expected to return to England in the coming days and start training with Chelsea soon.
