Member of the National Circles Council (NCC ) Communication team of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Joseph Nkoo says he is confident the Circles Council still stands a chance of getting a representative on the newly formed board from Manhyia.
Manhyia last week announced a nine (9) member Board of Directors to steer the affair of the club for the foreseeable future.
Some section of the club’s fan expressed their disappointment with the committee due to the lack of NCC representation in the committee.
But speaking in an interview, Nkoo stated that the new board is yet to have a meeting to confirm whether George Amoako is still going to be the Chief Executive Officer of the Club or there will be changes.
If that is confirmed, the CEO automatically becomes a Board Member in every organizational set up.
This will increase the number of our Board Members to ten (10) and to make it an odd number, “I believe in the wisdom of Manhyia , the Circles Council which is the supporters front and an integral part of the team will be added to motivate the Supporters leadership”.
“It was stated in the letter from Manhyia, they are waiting for the final Report from Professor Lydia Nkansah’s committee before any additions can be made.”
The communication member also disclosed the NCC will have no say should the number is maintained.
“It’s only our wish that we pray for it to happen,” he added.
