Chief Executive Officer of Bechem United Nana Kwasi Darling, has expressed disappointment in the president, Nana Akuffo-Addo after extending ban on football activities.
All sporting activities were suspended in March this year following the outbreak of the coronavirus.
President Nana Akufo-Addo in his 10th address on measures taken to curb the spread of the coronavirus allowed the non-contact sport to resume their normal activities by adhering to the safety protocols.
But extended the ban on contact sporting activities as his administration seeks to combat the pandemic.
The ban on football activities in Ghana will remain in force until at least 31st July 2020 according to the first gentleman of the land.
The decision of the President not to lift ban on football didn’t go down well with Bechem United CEO who expressed his disappointment with the decision.
“The President didn’t meet our expectation because we were expecting something different from what he said”
“The pandemic has come to stay with us and because of that we should find a cogent measures to curtail the situation to pave way for football to resume other than being halted.
“We cannot continue to at home “he said in an interview with Opemsuo FM.
