Ghanaian international, Tony ‘Yegoala’ Yeboah has picked his magnificent strike for Leeds United in 1995 against Liverpool as the best goal of his career.
Yeboah joined Leeds United in 1995 on the back of a reported 3.4 million Euros transfer from German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
It didn’t take long for Yeboah to settle in the English Premier League as an outrageous strike against Liverpool put his name on the lips of football lovers in the country.
Despite scoring many goals during his stint in Germany, Tony Yeboah chose his goal against Liverpool as the best he has ever scored in his career.
“Any time I am in England, I am asked about my goals and I always choose the goal against Liverpool because I am a Liverpool fan so it was special to score against them.
“And it was a long time that Leeds had not beaten Liverpool. I met Ian Rush, Barnes, players I had liked them from a distance and said; this one I have to show something”, Yegoala told GTV Sports Plus.
That equaliser against Liverpool is rated among the best goals in the history of the English Premier League.
