Former Ghana striker Anthony Yeboah has revealed not playing at the FIFA World Cup is one of the disappointing points of his career.
The former Frankfurt player featured for Ghana between 1985 and 1997.
His generation which had several stars like Abedi Pele, Charles Akonnor, Tony Baffoe etc failed in their attempts to qualify for the biggest international football competition.
Speaking on why they failed to qualify to the global showpiece despite having galaxy of stars, the former Leeds United star, cited “petty mistakes” by everyone involved including the players.
“Now I take everything cool. Now I know I have to enjoy my life. I have some companies, hotels working for me and I make sure I take good care of my family,” he told G TV Sports Plus.
Tony Yeboah made 59 appearances for Ghana, scoring 29 goals in the process.
