Former Asante Kotoko defender Samuel kyere has broken his silence on the circumstances that led him out of the club.
The versatile defender joined the Porcupine Warriors on free transfer in October 2015 after an unsuccessful spell with Armenia side Shirak FC.
Kyere was sent to the reserve side of the club for gross misconduct after a report of heated exchange with the head coach Micheal Osei.
But speaking on what led to his demotion to the reserve side, Samuel Kyere revealed Micheal Osei sabotaged his stay at the Ghana Premier League club after the departure of the Black Stars assistant coach.
“I was not indiscipline in the team as was portrayed by coach Michael Osei. He always talked about whatever I did, using me as an example whenever he was giving a speech,” Kyere told Ashh FM.
“We had nobody to explain our issues with and Amos Frimpong, who was the captain at Asante Kotoko was not able to fight for the players. For me, he was a weak leader.”
Kyere has been without a club after the cancelation of his contract with Techiman City in 2016.
