The Sports Ministry has presented a proposal to the government of Ghana with the hopes of benefiting from the stimulus package for businesses in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
The football industry has been one of the most affected by the novel virus as all sporting activities have been suspended since March.
However, sports has not been listed as a beneficiary of the tranche of fund released for disbursement.
Public Relations Officer of the Sports Ministry, Kenneth Annang revealed that his outfit is still working around the clock to ensure the sector is not neglected.
“The Sports Ministry is doing everything possible to get its share from the stimulus package. As we speak, the Ministry has done a presentation which is still under consideration. We expect a response from government soon after which we will come out to the public and announce what kind of support we will get from government”
